Rope Access

Rope Access

Indaxa offer a complete range of rope access services designed to complete a wide range of cleaning and maintenance jobs in hard to reach areas. Our technicians are highly trained, well experienced and can carry out almost any task at any height.

Rope access can be used to overcome access issues and offer a more economic and safer alternative to other access methods. Typically rope access is used in inspection, maintenance, repair and rescue applications but it can also be used for many other purposes.

Industrial rope access has been developed by IRATA International for over 25 years to a point where it is the chosen means of access for much of the work in the offshore oil and gas industry as well as a range of projects in construction, civil engineering, the built and natural environment and much more. Its success is based on thorough training and strict work guidelines that deliver an unrivalled safe working record year after year. The environmental, efficiency and economic benefits have resulted in growing international support for industrial rope access ahead of alternative means of access.IRATA International

Indaxa have a varied portfolio of previous projects from small 1 day installations to large pioneering windfarm rescue works. We have worked with high profile clients such as Blackpool Tower, Saracens, Enercon and many more.

Where to use rope access

Rope access is favourable over other access methods where it would be difficult or expensive to put up scaffolding or hire suitable access machinery. Rope access can be quickly set up and de-rigged at a moments notice meaning urgent works can take place immediately. Typical uses for rope access include:

  • Banner Installation;
  • External Building Cleaning;
  • Safety Rescue Cover;
  • High Level Pressure Washing;
  • Bird Netting Installation;
  • Structural Cleaning & Maintenance;
  • High Level Inspection.

Benefits of Rope Access

In many situations rope access will be substantially cheaper than using other access methods such as scaffolding. In some cases where difficult to reach maintenance is required, rope access could be up to 75% cheaper than other methods.

Rope access methods are proven to be faster than other access methods due to the need for less equipment and set up times. Typically rope access can be deployed within minutes of attending site.

Rope access has a proven safety record with highly trained technicians carrying out work to strict IRATA standards.
